ABOUT ME
My name is Jacqueline Membreno and I am the Spanish teacher at Performing Arts Community School (“PACS”) at Diego Rivera Learning Complex. This is my second year working with this group of passionate artists who come not only from South Centro Los Angeles but from all sides of our diverse city. At PACS, we have introductory and advanced Spanish classes. Several aspects of my curriculum focus on the political, scientific, cultural, geographic, and historical backgrounds of the countries where Spanish is spoken. In class students also get the opportunity to put their artistic skills into practice through drawing, painting, acting, dancing, singing, and even poetry. My academic program is essentially designed to help students develop better oral and written communication skills so that they are prepared for their future jobs. Please feel free to explore the syllabi attached if you wish to become more familiar with the nature of my classes.
